Here is my longest project to date, a 45-second short film, "Sweet Robbery," that I worked on for five months as part of an assignment at MoPA School.
The film is set in a retirement home, where Azate, an old lady with a sweet tooth, sneaks in daily to steal madeleines from her nurse's office, believing she is being discreet. However, little does she know that her madeleines were made especially for her.
I was responsible for every aspect of this project, and I can honestly say it was a significant challenge! There were many ups and downs, but I learned a great deal throughout the five months.
I have always wanted to experiment with a simplistic aesthetic for the film, so I drew inspiration from comic books and simple illustrations, using just three colors: yellow, orange, and blue.
I first made a cel shader in Unreal Engine and found that rendering everything in emissive materials aligned more closely with my vision.
